Abstract
In internal combustion engines of construction and road machines as a working fluid used motor oils, most of which contain either a small concentration of anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives, or no such additives. These additives are triggered over time, which adversely affects the properties of the engine oil, and as a result, increases the wear of the friction pairs of the internal combustion engine elements. Previous studies of the dosed introduction of additives to lubricants, mainly apply only to all-season motor oils, for which the issues of the minimum allowable concentration of additives are considered in sufficient detail. Given that the internal combustion engines of construction and road machines use summer and winter motor oils, it is necessary to consider the dosed introduction of additives into the internal combustion engines of such machines. Dosed introduction of additives to motor oils is unequivocally a promising way to improve their properties. Therefore, the task was set to establish the minimum required concentration of the additive Infineum C9425 in the motor oils of construction and road machines in order to improve their properties. To solve this problem, laboratory studies of anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties of several of the most common motor oils used for internal combustion engines of construction and road machines were conducted. Artificial introduction into motor oils of the multipurpose additive Infineum C9425 allows to improve essentially their antifrictional (accordingly, in 1.48 and 2.27 times), antifear (respectively, in 3.52 and 3.0 times) and anticorrosive (respectively, in 1.6 and 1.9 times) properties. The concentration of the Infineum C9425 additive in both motor oils should be 0.4%. Increasing or decreasing the concentration leads to a deterioration in the lubricating properties of motor oils. Further studies of the artificial introduction of the additive Infineum C9425 should be carried out in the actual operation of construction and road machines in order to establish quantitative indicators of the positive effect of this method to extend the durability of internal combustion engine elements and improve the properties of motor oils.
