Theoretical and experimental development of serial and new disc-pad brakes of draw-work with hydraulic drive during lowering and lifting operations made it possible to establish the following: wear-friction properties and the level of surface-volume temperatures of surface and near-surface layers of friction pairs meet safety standards; a new frame-type brake is proposed, which has the main and additional disks with chambers, the volumes of which are connected to each other in semicircles by diffusers and confusors to intensify the internal heat exchange between the disks; the dynamic parameters of the sector pad were analytically determined by relating them to the average friction radius of the disk and obtained the braking torque taking into account the dynamic coefficient of friction μ and impulse specific loads q; patterns of changes in the braking moment, surface-volume temperatures and specific heat flows from operational parameters acting on the friction pads of the discs.
