Abstract
In hydraulic drives of hoisting, construction and road machines, industrial and special oils are used as the working fluid, most of which contain the anti-wear and anti-corrosion additive DF-11. This additive is activated over time, which negatively affects the properties of the working fluid, and as a result, the wear of friction pairs of hydraulic drive elements increases. Previous studies of the dosed introduction of additives into oils mainly concern engine oils, for which the issues of the minimum allowable concentration of additives (primarily detergents that are not found in working fluids) are considered in sufficient detail. It should be noted that the operating conditions of motor oils in engines and hydraulic fluids in hydraulic drives are completely different, therefore, the results of studies of motor oils cannot be transferred to hydraulic fluids and additives DF-11, for which such studies have not been carried out. The dosed introduction of additives into working fluids is a promising direction for improving their properties. Therefore, the task was set to establish the minimum required concentration of the DF-11 additive in hydraulic fluids in order to improve their properties. To solve this problem, laboratory studies of the antiwear and anticorrosion properties of several of the most common working fluids of hydraulic drives of hoisting, construction and road machines were carried out. As a result of testing samples that worked under maximum load at the maximum lubrication mode on the SMT-1 friction machine, it was found that with increasing additive concentration, the diameter of the wear spot on steel balls decreases. It was found that an increase in the additive concentration of more than 0.4% significantly improves the antiwear properties of the working fluids that were tested. Considering the high loads between the balls, it was found that exactly 0.4% is the minimum allowable concentration of the DF-11 additive for the tested working fluids. As a result of comparative tests on the SMC-2 friction machine, it was found that the addition of DF-11 additive in all working fluids at a concentration of 0.4% reduces the wear of samples from 1.2 to 2.0 times depending on the combination of sample materials. Studies of the anticorrosive properties of working fluids at a concentration of 0.4% DF-11 additives showed a significant improvement in the anticorrosive properties of tested working fluids (1.6 times on average).
